Success and Frustration in Equal Measure

Well, I have had some success.  My balance is noticeably better, and progress seems to be going faster.  I am able to try a variety of different tricks.  Currently in the works:

Toe and heelside railstands - I am still working on these.  I can get it onto its side easily enough.  I can catch it heel side almost 100% of the time.  Toe side my balance is still a little off.  Now... how long can I stay up there once I'm on.  That varies.

Kickflip - I'm trying it.  I have yet to land one.  My rotation is good, but I either kick the board away from me (too much kick... not enough flick), or I kick it straight down.

Kickback - Easily the coolest looking of the tricks I am trying out.  It is wearing out the toe of my shoe at an alarming rate though.  I land it maybe 25% of the time.  I sometimes kick it behind me, but my rotation is pretty solid and consistent.  Just a matter of time before I am comfortable with it.

Boneless - Holy fuck is this terrifying.  You step off and the board jumps up at you as if it wants to hit you in the face.  I have almost landed it, but I am always going so slow that the board stops and my body doesn't.
I am also working on shuvits and ollies and tictacs and other basics.  I am fairly consistent with them, but I want them like second nature.
